Day 65: Nakd is the way forward

I finally managed to get the recipe for the low fat peanut butter cookies online today. View it here. I’ll be posting up more healthy recipes and plenty of other useful nutritional advice over the next week. You’ll spot that I’ve added information to the nutritional section, but it’s still under heavy construction.

Today I focused on my legs which is the third different section of the body I’ve worked out in as many days. I’ll be going back to the first day tomorrow, which will be working out the arms, shoulders, back and chest.

I’ll be going away for a few days from Friday and will be back on Sunday, so there will be no Body Blog on Friday or Saturday – I’ll have them all online on Sunday however.

I went Tesco today and found some new products to be adding to my basket, including quinoa and cous cous which are great alternatives to rice and pasta. The cous cous is wholemeal so thats even better. They are both really cheap as well. Another great product I found are Nakd raw fruit bars, much better for you than standard fruit bars like the Nutri-Grain bars. They are pictured here. Natural balance foods make them, they have no added sugar, wheat or a whole host of other things and everything in there isn’t processed and is natural. On offer at Tesco at the minute, grab them while you can!

30 reps: Alternate calf raises holding 1x 8kg dumbbell
30 reps: Prisoner squats
30 reps: Double leg mountain climbs
30 reps on each side: Side leg raises
30 reps on each leg: One leg squats
30 reps: Jumping jacks
30 reps: Bent over row holding 2x 8kg dumbbells

Food/Drink Diary
7.30am: Coffee
8.15am: Porridge. Coffee
8.45am: Salmon pate and coleslaw on 2x Ryvita crispbreads
10.00am: Blackcurrant cordial
10.30am: 2x boiled eggs on 1x slice of toast
1.00pm: Green tea
1.30pm: Peanut butter cookie
2.30pm: 2x Ryvita crispbreads with chicken and coleslaw
3.00pm: Tea
3.30pm: Blackcurrant cordial
5.30pm: Sweet potato, minced beef, broccoli and asparagus
5.30pm: Peach cordial
7.00pm: Small glass of Innocent smoothie. Few walnuts. Small peanut butter cookie.
