Low fat peanut butter cookie recipe
Looking for a low fat cookie recipe? You found one. Peanut butter is quite high in protein due to its large peanut content, the wholemeal flour provides plenty of nutrients and vitamins and the apple juice provides some goodness as well. Cookies you buy from the shop will often be filled with sugar and saturated fat, this recipe however will ensure that your cookies cut out most of that.
Recipe for about 8 small sized peanut butter cookies
Ingredients (will make about 8 small sized biscuits)
150 grams of smooth peanut butter
100 grams of wholemeal plain flour
100 grams of apple juice
1. Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4 (or 350 degrees)
2. Put the peanut butter, apple juice and flour in a bowl and mix.
3. Evenly distribute on a baking tray (with greaseproof paper). Pat down with a fork so they are thin – the thinner the biscuits the crunchier they will go.
4. Bake for about 25 minutes.
5. Enjoy.
The first image is what your mixture should look like before you put it in the oven, the second picture is what it should look like after cooked. I’m sure you can get a better shape than we got – but hey, that’s not the important thing, it’s the content.
